The Dodge Dart is a compact sedan based on a slightly enlarged Fiat Compact platform that debuted in January 2014. The Fiat Compact platform, on which the Fiat Giulietta was also based, was enlarged lengthways by 94mm and width increased by 38mm. The Dodge Dart RT was a concept car by Dodge released in 2012. Instead of the 160hp Fiat Inline 4, it uses a Chrysler Tigershark Inline 4, which is rated higher at 184hp. 18 Inch lightweight alloy rims and modified suspension unique for the RT are also equipped as standard equipment. The Dodge Dart RT was renamed to Dodge Dart GT in 2013, prior to availability, making it the first performance non-SRT Dodge vehicle to not use an R/T moniker.
